For fall 2003, 11,375 undergraduates are enrolled at
The average credit load for full-time undergraduates
is 14.5 credits and for part-time students it is 6.7 credits.
Freshmen and sophomores make up 26.4 and 19.4
percent of undergraduates, while juniors and seniors are 24.4 and 29.7 percent,
respectively.
Sixty-two percent of undergraduates are female. For those students who supply this
information, 10.6 percent identify themselves as African American, 5.8 percent
as Asian, 17.0 percent as Hispanic, 0.3 as Native
American and 56.4 percent as White.
Almost 5 percent of undergraduates are international students.

The five undergraduate majors with the most students
enrolled are: Business Administration,
Psychology, Human Ecology, English, and Biology. About 20.1 percent of undergraduates (2,292)
have not yet declared a major.
Almost a third (32 percent) of full-time
undergraduates live on-campus this fall, compared to a quarter (25 percent) in
the fall of 2002. The number of freshmen
living on-campus this fall has increased over 4 percent; to 41.2 percent to
36.7 percent in the fall of 2002.
At the graduate level, 3,829 students are enrolled
in fall 2003; an increase of 2.5 percent over last year. Fifty-eight percent are degree-seeking and
most, 79.4 percent, attend as part-time students.
For full-time graduate students, the average credit
load this semester is 10.7 hours and for part-time students it is 4.4 hours.
For the Graduate students who do supply this
information, 9.4 percent report they are African American, 3.9 percent are
Asian, 7.4 percent are Hispanic, and 75 percent are White. Almost 4 percent are international students,
and predominantly graduate students are female (70.7 percent).
