HIGHLIGHTS

The semester enrollment report is based on information taken from the University’s student information system at the time of the semester’s census date (the tenth day of classes).  These figures reflect how many Montclair State University students are enrolled in courses at the end of this business day.  This definition follows the New Jersey S.U.R.E. enrollment report requirements.  Reports generated later in the semester using the live files will reflect students who have withdrawn from courses and the counts will, therefore, be smaller than these official counts.

For fall 2003, 11,375 undergraduates are enrolled at Montclair State University. Most (98.4 percent) are degree-seeking students and 79.0 percent attend full-time.  This is a 4.0 percent increase from fall 2002’s undergraduate count of 10,939.

The average credit load for full-time undergraduates is 14.5 credits and for part-time students it is 6.7 credits.
